    The BioPak cup packaging is a great alternative to regular cups as it's ethically sourced materials are both positively impacting the environment and your customers' experience.

    What are the biodegradable coffee cups made of?

    Both the single wall and double wall coffee cups are made from tree pulp in managed plantations covered in a coating called Ingeo™ PLA (Polylactic Acid). PLA emits up to 80% less carbon and uses 52% less non-renewable energy than conventional plastic.

    What is the difference between single wall and double wall cups?

    Both the single wall and double wall cups are biodegradable, however the single wall cups are better for the environment as they have 55% reduction in paper, 44% less paper weight, 29% smaller cartons and 20% reduction in overall carbon footprint. Both cups are made from Paper Board, however single wall cups have one layer, where double cups have two.

    Are BioCup lids recyclable?

    BioPak's black and white PLA lids are certified to the Australian AS4736 compost standard, however, the infrastructure needed to recycle PLA is not yet used in Australia.
